TinyThanks helps you record and reflect on tiny blessings. We respect your privacy and comply with
applicable data protection laws, including Malaysia's PDPA, EU GDPR, and US COPPA where relevant.
Data We Collect
- Account info (optional): Email or username for backup/sync.
- Journal entries: Text and optional images. Stored locally unless cloud backup is enabled.
- Usage data (optional): Crash reports/analytics to improve app performance.
- Device info: OS version, app version, diagnostics.
Lawful Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)
We process your data based on:
- Consent: When you opt into analytics, backups, or share content.
- Contract: To provide core app features (storing/displaying blessings).
- Legitimate interest: App security and preventing misuse.
Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Delete your account and stored data.
- Portability: Export your blessings.
- Restriction/Objection: Limit or object to processing.

Data Retention
- Local entries remain until deletion.
- Cloud backups retained until account deletion.
- Crash logs/analytics retained for up to 12 months.
Sharing & Screenshots
- TinyThanks does not automatically share your data.
- Users may share blessings or forest screenshots externally (e.g., social media). Once shared, those platforms' policies apply, and TinyThanks is not responsible.
Children
- TinyThanks is family-friendly.
- Children under 13 must use the app under parental supervision.
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without parental consent.
Security
- Data encrypted in transit and at rest (if cloud backup is enabled).
- Optional PIN/biometric lock.
